Yakumo Kurama is the last surviving member of the Kurama clan.
She inherited an ability to cast illusions so powerful that they actually produced real effects.
However, Yakumo was unable to control her illusions and endangered those around her.
Her tutor, Kurenai Yuhi had no choice but to seal away her ninja abilities which prevented Yakumo from over becoming a ninja.

Kurenai is an expert in the ninja art of Genjutsu and she showed a natural ability for Genjutsu at an early age.
This is why the Third Hokage had Kurenai help him train Yakumo Kurama who also showed a natural talent for Genjutsu.

Orochimaru showed great interest in Sasuke as a prodigy, but greatly underestimated Naruto to begin with.
It wasn’t until Naruto injured Kabuto with his Rasengan that Orochimaru considered Naruto to be a threat and tried to kill him.
